The first batch of NIO Power Swap Station 4.0 has officially launched. This fourth-generation product supports automatic battery swapping for various brands and models of electric vehicles. NIO, ONVO, and all strategic battery swap partners can access these new stations, providing an enhanced swapping experience that is more convenient than refueling.

NIO's Power Swap Station 4.0 comes equipped with six ultrawide-FOV LiDARs and four Orin X chips, boasting a total computing power of 1,016 TOPS. Users can initiate automatic battery swapping with a simple tap on the central display screen, even from outside the vehicle. Compared to the Gen-3 stations, the new stations have increased speed by 22%, completing battery swaps in just 144 seconds. With the battery pack expanded to accommodate 23 batteries, each station can handle up to 480 swaps per day. Both speed and capacity have been significantly upgraded. Alongside the new stations, NIO has introduced a 640 kW liquid-cooled power charger capable of delivering a maximum current of 765 amps at 1,000 volts. The liquid-cooled charging cable developed by NIO weighs only 2.4 kilograms, similar to a laptop, making it easy to handle with one hand.

The first batch of new stations are located in Liwan District, Guangzhou City, and Luogang Service Area of G40 Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway. The station in Guangzhou marks the city's 108th station. The G40 Expressway's Liuan Station in Anhui is the first site established jointly by NIO and Zhongan Energy following their strategic cooperation agreement signed on March 22nd. Moving forward, NIO and Zhongan Energy will deploy more integrated charging and swapping stations in Anhui Province, featuring solar power generation and energy storage capabilities. Their network will expand to cover the Yangtze River Delta and eventually nationwide.

Since establishment, NIO has been making unwavering commitment to the research and development of battery swapping technology and products, continuously expanding its infrastructure network. As of June 13th, NIO has installed 2,432 battery swap stations and 22,633 charging piles across China, including 804 stations on highways and 1,650 supercharging stations. NIO stands as the automotive company with the largest battery swap and charging network in China. Doubling its efforts, NIO is committed to providing users with a comprehensive charging experience beyond traditional refueling options.
