On August 30, the 27th Chengdu International Auto Show kicked off. JAC Motors showcased its latest smart electric vehicle series and announced the new Hunter passenger version, along with new product plans for JAC pickups, further advancing its global expansion.JAC Motors officially launched the new Hunter passenger version at the show, with prices ranging from 154,800 to 187,800 RMB. The Hunter SHANMAO passenger version also began pre-sales, priced between 191,800 and 201,800 RMB. These models mark JAC's significant push into the high-end pickup market, offering stronger, more comfortable, safer, and smarter driving experiences.
This year marks JAC Motors' 60th anniversary and a crucial year for JAC pickups' transformation. JAC pickups have sold over 320,000 units in more than 130 countries and regions, making them industry leaders. This year, the high-end Hunter pickup has successfully entered markets like Australia and Mexico. In July, international sales grew by 35.8% year-on-year and 18.7% month-on-month. The introduction of the right-hand drive Hunter version for Australia further strengthens JAC pickups' global market presence.
At the auto show, JAC also revealed its new product plan for pickups, which includes the “T series + Hunter” with various power options such as petrol, electric, hybrid, and gas. JAC aims to continue its dual strategy of commercial and passenger vehicles, with plans to introduce Hunter EV, Hunter PHEV, and other new models, targeting a global annual sales goal of over 100,000 units during the 14th Five-Year Plan.
As one of the earliest Chinese car brands to enter the international market, JAC Motors will continue to expand its global footprint and enhance its brand's global influence.
Additionally, JAC Motors presented the DEFINE concept car, based on four key technologies: intelligent architecture, smart chassis, intelligent cockpit, and smart driving. DEFINE won the German Red Dot Concept Design Award, showcasing JAC’s innovation in the smart car sector.
Other new models displayed included the Rui Feng RF8, JAC X8 E-family, Yiwei 3 Love Edition, and Hua Xianzi Edition. The Rui Feng RF8 features Huawei and Zhiling car systems for excellent user interaction; the JAC X8 E-family stands out with its independent six-seat design and impressive range; the Yiwei 3 Love Edition excels in design, safety, intelligence, and space; and the Flower Fairy Love Edition has been upgraded in design, intelligence, and quality.
In the first half of this year, JAC Motors' net profit reached 301 million RMB, a 93.84% increase year-on-year. Looking ahead, JAC Motors will continue to focus on smart development and work with partners to enhance global users' smart mobility experience.
