China's leading Smart EV company, XPENG Motors, has announced its participation in this year's El Prix NAF summer testing alongside 26 other electric vehicle contenders, including traditional luxury and bestselling brands. The testing focuses on assessing the range and charging speed. Among this year's test vehicles, the newly launched XPENG G6 stood out for its positive deviation in both range and charging speed compared to its nominal price. The vehicle covered a total distance of 530.7 kilometers, almost reaching the WLTP stipulated 550-kilometer range. Thanks to XPENG's next-generation SEPA2.0 architecture supporting 800-volt technology, the vehicle achieved remarkable results in the charging test, charging from 10% to 80% in less than 20 minutes using an 87.5 kWh battery, with a charging speed reaching an astonishing 264 kW. This is only 55 kW behind the testing record set by the XPENG G9 in last year's test. This announcement marks a significant milestone for XPENG, showcasing its consistent positive performance in key European markets.

To solidify its position as a leader in electric vehicle technology: XPENG has achieved success in Norway. The brand entered the Norwegian market in 2020, offering highly competitive options for discerning electric vehicle customers. In last year's summer tests, both the XPENG G9 and P7 surpassed competitors in NAF's range and charging tests, leading to significant sales growth in Norway. This success has helped XPENG reinforce its brand as a frontrunner in the electric vehicle industry.

"Since XPENG's entry into the Norwegian market, we have set new standards in both range and charging speed, and the record-breaking results from last year's summer tests have proven this. We are delighted that the XPENG G6 continues to make progress in the industry, solidifying our position as one of the premier electric vehicle brands in the market," said Claes Persson, CEO of XPENG Norway.
