On August 5, 2024, Fortune China released the Fortune Global 500 list for 2024. Chery Holding Group made the list for the first time, ranking 385th with $39.0917 billion in revenue. This is a new milestone for Chinese car brands and makes Chery the top Chinese car company by export volume on the list.

The Fortune Global 500 is a key list for ranking large global companies. It shows the rankings and business quality of major companies from different countries, such as their sales and profit rates. This year, the total revenue of the listed companies is $41 trillion, up 0.1% from last year. The entry threshold is $32.1 billion. China has 133 companies on the list, with a total revenue of about $11 trillion.

Chery is a major representative of Chinese car brands. Starting 27 years ago from a small building, Chery has grown rapidly with China’s auto industry. Today, it has 14.2 million global users and operates in over 80 countries and regions. Chery has focused on long-term and sustainable development.

Chery is currently experiencing rapid growth: from 2021 to 2023, its annual sales increased from 962,000 to 1.881 million vehicles, nearly doubling. Chery has exported 3.9 million cars and has been the top Chinese brand in car exports for 21 years. In 2023, one out of every three exported cars from China was a Chery. In the first half of 2024, Chery sold over 1.1 million cars, a 48.4% increase from the previous year, setting a new record. Chery is the only company to achieve growth in both electric and fuel vehicles, as well as in domestic and international markets.
