On September 8, 2025, the IAA Mobility 2025 kicked off in Munich, Germany. At the event, GAC Group introduced its “GAC Plan” for future mobility, emphasizing user-focused design, technology-driven innovation, and green development. As the cornerstone of GAC’s new energy vehicle business, GAC AION is actively implementing this strategy, advancing higher quality, smarter technology, and greener mobility to strengthen its global footprint.

At the exhibition, GAC AION showcased two global strategic models: the AION V and the AION UT. The AION V officially launched in Europe and will begin deliveries this month to customers in Poland, Portugal, Finland, and other countries.

The AION V emphasizes safety, eco-friendliness, intelligence, and comfort, catering to European families seeking premium electric vehicles. It has earned the 2025 E-NCAP five-star safety rating and is equipped with the second-generation magazine battery system, achieving top-level safety with “zero fires in a million units.” The car delivers a WLTP range of 510 km, and fast charging from 10% to 80% SOC takes just 24 minutes. Its advanced smart cockpit and driver-assistance features make driving safer and easier, while the 2775 mm wheelbase and soft-touch seats ensure comfort for both daily commutes and long journeys.

To safeguard European customers, the AION V comes with an 8-year or 160,000 km vehicle warranty, an 8-year or 200,000 km battery warranty, and three years of free Europe-wide roadside assistance through Allianz Partners. It also offers dedicated EV software support, giving users peace of mind.

The AION UT also made its European debut at the show and is scheduled for launch in 2026. With a focus on personalization and technology, it aims to offer young European customers a distinct and smart mobility experience.

During the test-drive sessions, GAC AION vehicles drew significant attention from visitors and industry professionals. One German attendee said after trying a car: “GAC AION vehicles are more comfortable and smarter than I expected from an electric vehicle.”

The company also shared its Europe localization plans. Following the “in Europe, for Europe” approach, GAC AION has established dozens of dealer locations across the continent, launched a parts distribution center in the Netherlands, and set up local service teams. It is also building a Europe-wide energy supply network. Looking ahead, GAC AION plans to expand local production and R&D facilities, moving from exporting products to exporting technology and ecosystem solutions.

Since 2023, GAC AION has accelerated its global expansion, entering over 20 countries and regions. Its smart factories in Thailand and Indonesia are already operational. Overseas sales continue to rise, with pure electric models ranking among the top three in markets including Thailand, Hong Kong, and Singapore. With the AION V and AION UT expanding overseas, GAC AION aims to deliver more efficient, sustainable, and high-quality mobility solutions to customers worldwide.
