BYD reported sales of 383,453 vehicles in May 2026, continuing its strong growth in both domestic and international markets.
Passenger vehicle sales reached 376,990 units during the month. Overseas sales of passenger vehicles and pickup trucks totaled 160,177 units, representing a year-on-year increase of 80.7%.
Among BYD's vehicle brands, the Dynasty and Ocean series remained the main sales drivers, delivering 330,215 units in May.
Premium brands also contributed to the company's performance. Fangchengbao sold 30,186 vehicles, while Denza recorded sales of 16,303 units. The ultra-luxury Yangwang brand delivered 286 vehicles during the month.
For the first five months of 2026, BYD Group's cumulative sales of passenger vehicles and pickup trucks reached 1,405,039 units. Overseas sales during the same period totaled 614,470 units.
BYD also announced that its cumulative global sales of new energy vehicles have now surpassed 16.5 million units, highlighting the company's continued expansion in the global EV market.
With overseas demand continuing to grow, international markets are becoming an increasingly important part of BYD's overall business, supporting the company's efforts to expand its global footprint across passenger and commercial vehicle segments.
