FTXT Energy showcased its latest hydrogen fuel cell technology at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2026), reinforcing its commitment to expanding in Malaysia and the broader Southeast Asian market.
At the exhibition, the company presented its 120kW fuel cell system, a flagship product developed for commercial vehicle and industrial applications. Designed with fully in-house core technologies, the system delivers high power output and efficiency and can be deployed across a wide range of use cases, including buses, logistics vehicles, heavy-duty trucks, sanitation vehicles and stationary power generation systems.
To support deployment in Southeast Asia, FTXT Energy has optimized the system for the region's hot and humid operating conditions. The company said the enhancements improve reliability and performance during long operating hours and under demanding environmental conditions.
KLIMS 2026 attracted around 200,000 visitors and featured 16 major automotive brands, providing FTXT Energy with a platform to engage with customers, industry stakeholders and potential partners from across the region. During the event, the company held discussions with local organizations and businesses to explore opportunities for hydrogen mobility and clean energy applications in Malaysia and neighboring markets.
Southeast Asia is becoming an increasingly important market for hydrogen technology as governments and industries pursue decarbonization goals and cleaner transportation solutions. Through its participation at KLIMS, FTXT Energy strengthened its regional presence and gained further insight into local market requirements and future development opportunities.
The company is building on project experience gained in international markets, including Europe and Brazil, as it expands its global footprint. In Malaysia, FTXT Energy plans to work with Great Wall Motor's local subsidiary to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen-powered vehicles and fuel cell power generation systems.
Future cooperation is expected to focus on public transportation, port logistics, municipal sanitation services and green power generation, sectors where hydrogen technology can support the transition to lower-carbon operations.
FTXT Energy said it will continue working with local partners to deliver fuel cell products and hydrogen energy solutions tailored to regional needs, supporting the development of a more sustainable transportation and energy ecosystem across Southeast Asia.
